I just managed to put Truffles back into his cage without him scratching me to death XD
I took him out today for his weekly, 2 hour excercise, which proved useless as he wouldn't do anything but sit in a corner and sleep. I did everything to try and motivate him but all proved futile. He was such a proactive little guy when he was a baby and now...well he's really retired from the 'jumping' world. I'll have to give it to him, he is around 74 years old in human years.
Truffles nevertheless still gave me the 'silent' treatment, even though rabbits don't make noises, Truffles decided he was going to ignore me for the entire day just because I didn't give him is favourite treat: bannana's! He loves them! He'll smother his entire face with it. Now usually, Truffles win's the fight. I usually end up giving anything he likes just to see him happy (and not pee all over me) but the recent Queensland flood means the bannana prices in Australia are skyrocketing again from a mere $2 to $5! So thats the reason why Truffles has been missing out on a lot of bannana's. He still gets them, but not as extensively.
I also bought Truffles a little chew toy from Pet Barn. I thought Truffles would be all over it like he use to be with a plastic ball I gave him but no, he was to busy grooming himself to notice. Thankfully, it didn't cost that much. It was around $9.00 so I'm not too fussed.
Speaking of grooming, I have a theory that he thinks he's a bachelor or something. Narcisstic humans generally stare at themselves in front of the mirrors, admiring their own beauty. Well, Truffles cleans himself 24/7 (maybe he's secretly, behind my back, leaving the cage at night and impressing a lady friend he met) I don't know whether it's normal rabbit behaviour because all my friends who have rabbits don't do that.
I've inserted a short clip of Truffles cleaning himself for the 600th time this hour. Enjoy :)
