Cure 101: Rough Hands

Smooth hands is just around the corner

Dearest Readers,

I just found out today the best cure for rough hands. It's really simple and doesn't require much time at all. Rough hands, especially for women can be embarassing, especially when most people tend to notice the bling worn on your hands and you don't want their attention to be diverted to a pair of rough, dry, looking hands.

So here are some useful tips and tricks you can try at home!

1. Try any lotion that contains a substantial amount of Vitamin E, Shea, Cocoa Butter or Jojoba Oil. I personally love the Nivea Soft Moisturizing Creme.

2. At night, once you apply your moisturizing cream of choice, put on a pair of cotton gloves and sleep with it over night. Take it off the next morning and voila! A pair of nice smelling, soft hands.

3. If you have 'chronic' rough hands, it might be a good idea to steam your hands. If you have a facial steamer, use that on your hands. If not, you can always put your hands ontop of a bowl of steaming water. Do it for about 15 minutes and then apply your moisturizing cream.

4. Avoid doing too much work with your hands. Pretty self explanitory.

5. Vitamin E tablets aren't just great for eating but you can put them on your hands too. Simply take a needle and prick the tablet and smear the oil onto your hands. Rub it in like a normal lotion.

6. For even smoother hands, pour 1/4 cup of olive oil and 1/4 cup of salt and mix it together. Then proceed to rub it into your hands. Leave it for 5 minutes and rinse off. Apply your moisturizing cream of choice. You will have a pair of magnificiantly soft hands!

If your hands are still rough and dry after this, perhaps it's time you seek professional help, like going to a dermatologist. There is only such we can do. The rest is up to doctors.

Stay in tune for more cure 101's!
