Foundation Review: Bobbi Brown

I'm loving this foundation!

Dearest Readers,

So recently I came across the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 on the Bobbi Brown website and having read a lot of reviews about it, I was pretty confident this was going to be THE ONE for me...and it is! It's really pricey but I've been saving up recently so hopefully I can indulge on some better cosmetics in the future. My mum says it's an utter waste but I believe a good quality foundation can really make a difference to the skin.

I have naturally oily/combination skin and during the day, my T-Zone always gets oily and it looks like I've literally poured olive oil onto my skin! It also flakes when I don't moisturize properly (which happens only on dry skin O.o) Anyway, I've been using the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation for as long as I can remember and the problem with that was it made my face look cakey and the coverage is uneven and sheer. But when I started using the Bobbi Brown foundation, OMG my skin was perfect! I could put on two layers and not freak out about looking cakey. It gives the most natural finish and I absolutely love it! It smells weird but it does it's job admirably.

The consistency is very liquidy which I like. It's watery texture is the smoothest I've ever seen. You can apply it with your bare hands or a brush and it leaves your face looking flawless both ways. Usually I don't like using brushes with liquid foundations just because it leaves brush "strokes" on my face and it looks really rushed. I was expecting the same problem with this foundation but I didn't see any visible brush strokes. It also hardly broke me out, unlike previous foundations I've tried. I did get a few whiteheads on my chin but they cleared up after my third day of applying it.

I would definitely repurchase this (but I really wish it wasn't so pricey!) but if not, I'm definitely on the look out for foundations similar to this.
