7 wonders of the world

Dearest readers,

One of the things I have to do before I die (or turn 100) whichever comes first, is to travel one of the 7 wonders of the world. OMG. I've been planning this since like I was born! Carlina (my bffl) and I agreed when we're 21 we're gonna go together to these places, which makes it even more exciting knowing I'll be sharing these adventures with my best friend! A lot of people I told this to are asking how I'm going to pay for it. We haven't worked that out yet but most likely I'll be asking my dad for money :)

So here are the options. We're currently stuck chosing one of the seven wonders because obviously, we can't travel all of them. Thats far to expensive...even for my parents to pay!

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

The Colossus of Rhodes
The Great Pyramid of Giza
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Lighthouse of Alexandria
The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus

The Seven Wonders of the Modern World

Channel Tunnel
CN Tower
Empire State Building
Golden Gate Bridge
Itaipu Dam
Netherlands North Sea Protection Works
Panama Canal

The Seven Wonders of the Medieval World.

Stonehenge
Colosseum
Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
Great Wall of China
Porcelain Tower of Nanjing
Hagia Sophia
Leaning Tower of Pisa

The Seven Wonders of the Natural World.

Grand Canyon
Great Barrier Reef
Harbor of Rio de Janeiro
Mount Everest
Aurora
ParĂcutin volcano
Victoria Falls

Tell me in the comments below which one you recommend and what your "Must do before I die" thing is!

  3. Don't try the seven wonders of the modern world. It's pretty boring because I went to most of them. I actually prefer the ancient world.

P.S my must do before I die is to travel the world in sixty days. (probs not gonna happen)

  5. ancient or medieval. they both seem pretty good to me. But really, are u seriously just gonna ask ur parents for the money? That makes u a really shallow sounding person. also, I highly doubt you'll be able to do all of this when your 21. I'm assuming you'll be going to univeristy right? Gap years are meant to be for productive things. not just random travelling.

    1. FYI, i'm not a shallow person. I think you're reading too much into what I wrote. My parents are more than happy to help me with some money. And please don't talk as if you know everything about me already. It's rather rude.

    2. FYI, I wasn't being rude. I was pointing out the truth. Your reply only makes you sound even more arrogant than you already are.

  6. I refuse to continue arguing with you over a pointless conversation. If you're so insistent that I'm arrogant, then please get off my blog.

  8. Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. You're still welcome to suggest but I've made my decision and it seems the majority of you favour ancient world, so we'll be going there :)

  10. hi alleycat, i know it's a little late saying this but i think medieval world would be better to go to. It's interesting seeing many of the monuments and architecture from our ancestors and is really interesting. I've been to most of the medieival world places so I think it's a great experience too.

and sorry for saying all of this so late. i just came upon your blog.
