Funny Justin Bieber pictures!

Dearest readers,

I have absolutely nothing against bieber, in fact, I love his songs (Yes, I admit it!) And I've been liking him more and more since his haircut but when I came across these ridiculous pictures of him, I just burst out laughing.

Introducing my newest piggies!

Dearest readers,

I'm so excited to share with you guys my newest piggies! They were given to me by a friend, because she couldn't care for them anymore. Anyway, they're soooo cute! I love them to death already!

Here they are!
They're about 8-9 weeks old, although I could be wrong because they do look younger. They're long haired piggies by the way. I attempted to introduce them to Oreo and Socks (a guinea pig I bought two weeks ago, and I've yet to write an introduction yikes!) but it turned out pretty nasty.

Oreo was being very dominant and mean to them and was bullying them around and giving them such a hard time. He's a very agressive piggie. Socks was much gentler towards them but that doesn't mean he was any better. For the time being, I'm just keeping these two brothers together.

On a side note, I actually don't really know they're gender. I know how to distinguish between a female and male (obviously, after 7 years of experience) but they're too young to tell. I'm about 70% sure they're male, but maybe they're not. I'll keep you guys updated!

So you might be wondering what they're names are. Well I've decided to name the white+brown guinea pig Owl. That was literally the first word that popped into my head when I saw him. His bushy eyebrows and chubby face makes him look like a snowy owl! The other one I named Jaqqy. Yeah, pretty weird name but he needed a unique name!

I'm not too entirely sure about their personalities yet. But I do know, Jaqqy is the more reserved, quieter and the peacemaker of the two. Owl isn't tolerant of others bullying him *cough* Oreo *cough* but since he's a baby, he's pretty much defenseless.

Look forward to more Owl and Jaqqy posts and my soon to come Socks introduction!!!

L'Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Conditioner with Royal Jelly review

Dearest readers,

I have so much positive things to say about this conditioner, which is why I decided to write this up now, even though I'm only a week and two days into it. I've been literally dying to write this post because it's so amazing. It's also not pricey at all and works very well for such a cheap price.

So as you may know, I've been using the Herbal Essences shampoo+conditioner for a while now. It's been doing wonders for my hair for a while now, but I have realized the conditioner is making my hair...dryish. I know it sounds weird, but trust me, when I stopped using it, my hair got back to normal. So first off, lets talk about the benefits of Royal Jelly, one of the key ingredients in it:

1. Hydration - Royal jelly leaves hair well hydrated, eliminating any dryness.

2. Opens up hair follicles - This allows for fast growth of strong but soft and healthy hair.

3. Thickness - The opening up of hair follicles and growth of more hair results in thick and soft hair that is easy to manage.

4. Dandruff - Dandruff is a problem to many people. Using royal jelly eliminates dandruff naturally. This is by continuously keeping the scalp moist and nourished, eliminating dryness that is associated with the occurrence of dandruff.

5. Anti-oxidant - Royal jelly hair conditioner contains Wheat Germ oil, vitamin E and F. These are very powerful antioxidants capable of neutralizing all free radicals in hair. The present amino acids not only rejuvenate the scalp but aids in the repair of damaged hair tissues.

6. Other benefits - There are many other benefits of hair conditioner that contains royal jelly therefore it is a good choice when it comes to healthy hair

And to have such an amazing, organic product infused with the conditioner was my ticket to buy it right away. I've used it about 7 times already and I love this conditioner!!! It gave my hair instant shine and flexibility. It transformed my coarse and rough hair to a easy to manipulate with hair. The smell is also beautiful. It's feminine without it smelling all flower-y and over chemicalized.
I don't use too much of this conditioner because a small amount is sufficient for it to make my hair shinier and less breakable. I'm beginning to think this is what professionals use. It's that good.

*if you want commerical ads shininess and softness, invest in this conditioner now!*

Package rating: 7/10
Product rating: 9/10
Overall Rating: 8/10

Would I repurchase: Yep.

Cure 101: Insomnia

It's tough when you're up most of the time staring at the clock.

Dearest readers,

Recently, a viewer asked me to do a cure 101 on insomnia, so I've collaborated some tips on how to effectively fight against it!

Note: I am by no means a doctor and information on this page may be incorrect or subject to more research. Insomnia should not be treated lightly. In some cases, it could be a underlying issue that needs medical attention. Always seek help from a doctor first before turning to the internet for information. These tips should be used with caution in conjuction/ or with approval by your doctor.

1. Play some soft, soothing music that will lull you to sleep. There are many CDs designed for that very purpose. Some are specially composed music, others simply have sounds of waves rhythmically breaking, or the steady pattern of a heartbeat. Some will lead you to sleep with a combination of music, voice and other soothing sounds.

2. Drink a glass of warm milk 15 minutes before going to bed will soothe your nervous system. Milk contains calcium, which works directly on jagged nerves to make them (and you) relax.

3. Drink Herb tea if you don't like milk—or are avoiding dairy products—try a cup of hot camomile, catnip, anise or fennel tea. All contain natural ingredients which will help you sleep. Most health food stores will also have special blends of herb tea designed to soothe you and help you get to sleep.

4. Try melatonin, but carefully. Some people find it helpful to sleep, however there are cases of people who, on the contrary, disrupts sleep. There is at present considerable confusion as to the usefulness and appropriateness of melatonin. Therefore it is advisable to consult a health professional (naturopath, medical doctor or naturopathic) versed in the subject.

5. Eliminate or reduce caffeine and smoking. Almost everyone knows that caffeine makes it difficult to sleep, what many do not realize is that smoking near bedtime can disrupt sleep and cause us to wake up several times at night . Studies have shown that smokers show a decrease from the deepest stage of sleep, ie one in which delta waves predominate. Smoking also causes congestion in the airways and inflammation on mucous membranes. This makes the air flow is impeded, causing problems similar to those of sleep apnea.

6. Try eating some sleeping pills. I suggest Natures Way Sleeping Pills. OTC sleep aids are meant to be used for short term insomnia only. Sleep experts generally advise against the use of over-the-counter (OTC) sleep aids because of side-effects, questions about their effectiveness, and lack of information about their safety over the long-term. Also be careful not to overdose.
